Cow-Calf Program

*The Comanche Nation acquired several tracts of land along and near the Red River over a decade ago for future development. *The lands were leased out to local farmers while the tribe continued to plan, and the condition of the land deteriorated. *The Comanche Business Committee decided it was time to take action and identified the Realty Department as the best method to start the cow-calf program. *The ultimate purpose of this program is to exercise sovereignty. *Tribal Sovereignty: Taking control over our lands to utilize them for tribal benefit. *Food Sovereignty: Creating our own food source to feed our people and supply our businesses with premium beef.
